The Enchanted Forest of Fergus donates $2500 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre Wellington from its first event.
Centre Wellington, October 27, 2022 – The Enchanted Forest of Fergus donates $2500 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Centre Wellington from the September Symphony event. This was made possible from contributions by event sponsors and partners, Wellington North Auto, Scott MacKay-Royal LePage, The Outpost, and 100% of silent auction proceeds.
The Enchanted Forest of Fergus is a local festival that aims to provide a whimsical fantasy experience for families through music, magic, community, and art. “We are thrilled to be able to support such a great cause and we want to thank our community for making this possible,” said husband and wife duo, Julia Dilecce and Chris Zimmerman, Co-Founders at The Enchanted Forest of Fergus.
“Children and their creative way of thinking are such an integral part of our approach to The Forest. Kids fuel the make-belief. We’re really happy we’re able to give back to them and we hope that this donation will help Big Brothers Big Sisters in a very big way”
With its two sold-out shows, The Enchanted Forest of Fergus’ event took place September 23 and 24, 2022, and generated over 1100 local attendees and those from around Southern Ontario. Guests enjoyed a 1-hour concert by The Toronto String Quartet and 1930s ragtime duo, The Vaudevillian. The Forest came to life with strolling entertainment and featured local art, including Zimmerman’s first life-size display collection of woodland creatures and Sensational Elora’s giant illuminated mushrooms. A vendor market and silent auction were made possible by local businesses and guests could enjoy a cash bar by The Outpost.
Though dates haven’t been announced, event organizers have made mention of a possible December experience, just in time for the holidays. Follow @fergusenchantedforest on Instagam and Facebook for live updates, or visit the event website.
